Mood and anxiety disorder treatment

 

Depression and anxiety can significantly disrupt our capacity to live life and manage our commitments. Evidence based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Interpersonal and Social Rhythm Therapy (IPSRT), that are tailored to your needs and circumstances are used to promote the rapid resolution of depression and anxiety symptoms.

Interpersonal and Social Rhythm Therapy (IPSRT) is also offered for the management of symptoms of Bipolar Disorder.


Eating disorders treatment

 

Collaborative management of eating disorders and Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa and Binge Eating Disorder using evidence-based approaches including Enhanced Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT-E) for eating disorders and Radically Open Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (RO-DBT) is available under a Mental Health Care Plan or Medicare Eating Disorder Treatment Plan.


Psychosocial treatment for psychosis

 

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for psychosis (CBTp) and Recovery-oriented Cognitive Therapy (CT-R) and occupational therapy intervention approaches are used in an integrative manner to increase participation in life, reduce distress and enhance functioning.


NDIS Assessments (plan managed and self-managed participants or privately funded)

 

Occupational therapy functional assessments to assist with gaining initial access to the NDIS and reviewing therapy needs in preparation for NDIS plan reviews are available.


NDIS Occupational Therapy for psychosocial disability (plan managed and self-managed participants)

 

Occupational therapy intervention for people experiencing psychosocial disability incorporates a focus on working collaboratively to build skills and promote participation in what the person values.

Occupational therapy for people experiencing enduring mental health issues is effective in supporting the regaining/relearning daily living skills impacted by ongoing mental health related challenges.


NDIS Occupational Therapy for cognitive/intellectual disability (plan managed and self-managed participants)

 

Occupational therapy intervention for people experiencing intellectual/cognitive disabilities can include skills training interventions as well as occupational therapy functional assessments to identify individual support needs.


Clinical supervision for occupational therapists and mental health professionals

 

High quality clinical supervision is important in helping health professionals perform at their best and effectively meeting the needs of the people we serve.

Clinical supervision is available for occupational therapists and other mental health professionals working with people experiencing mental health challenges and cognitive/intellectual disability.
